Since First Parish is a church, this lease arrangement provides a fixed monthly cost below the previous monthly electrical utility payments. Our electrical bill has been for only "transport charges" (around $6/month) since they have come on line. We are building credit with the utility that can be used during the cold New England winter months. All the tax credits, rebates and SRECs are used by the holding company since non-profits can't take them into account. It's truly a win-win for all parties involved.
